What does smile brightening involve?
Teeth gradually darken over time due to ageing and everyday habits. Before brightening or whitening is even considered, your teeth and gums need to be healthy and cleaned. If anything requires attention, it is managed first to ensure the treatment is suitable and even.
Most of the colour change happens in the chair during your appointment, with only slight settling afterwards. We offer three options so you can choose the level of brightening that feels right for you:
- Brightening: a mild 15-minute carbamide peroxide treatment offering 2–4 shades of brightening.
- Cosmetic: a carbamide peroxide option offering 4–6 shades of brightening.
- Medical: a hydrogen peroxide treatment offering 6–10 shades of whitening. It includes nano-hydroxyapatite to help reduce sensitivity and support enamel during the procedure.
If you prefer a more gradual approach or would like ongoing maintenance, home whitening options are available, including day and night systems designed to fit into your routine, as well as whitening toothpaste to enhance your results.
