Clear Aligner Orthodontics

Discreet, comfortable aligners to gently guide your teeth into alignment while fitting seamlessly into your lifestyle.

You may feel that your teeth are not sitting as comfortably as they could. Alignment can influence how your smile looks and how your bite feels from day to day.

At Yūgen Dental, Clear Aligner Orthodontics offers a discreet and comfortable way to guide teeth into an improved position. Each aligner is individually crafted to fit precisely, applying gentle, controlled forces to encourage predictable movement. Orthodontic treatment is not solely aesthetic — aligning the teeth can also support improved oral hygiene by making them easier to clean. The intention is to create balance while preserving the natural character of your smile.

What are clear aligners?

Clear aligners are personalised transparent trays that fit closely over your teeth. They are worn in sequence, with each set designed to encourage small positional shifts.

Because they can be removed, you are able to eat and clean your teeth without obstruction. Maintaining good oral hygiene remains important throughout treatment, particularly alongside regular care & prevention visits.

Clear aligners are generally suitable for mild to moderate alignment concerns.

How is treatment planned?

Planning begins with a careful assessment of how your teeth meet and how they sit within your bite. Digital scans or impressions are used to create a clear picture of your starting point. Before orthodontic treatment begins, it is important that the teeth and gums are healthy. Any necessary restorative or preventive care is addressed first to ensure a stable foundation for movement.

The proposed changes are discussed with you before treatment begins, so you understand how alignment is expected to develop. From there, a series of aligners is designed to guide movement gradually.

If refinement is needed once alignment is complete, it can be addressed gently, sometimes in combination with restorative care.

What can you expect during treatment?

Aligners are usually worn for most of the day and removed for meals and cleaning. Consistent wear allows movement to occur steadily.

When moving to a new set, you may notice mild pressure. This tends to settle as your teeth adjust to the shift. Appointments are arranged at intervals to review progress and ensure that movement is unfolding as intended.

How long does treatment take?

The length of treatment depends on how much adjustment is required. This is discussed during your consultation once your alignment has been assessed. Change is approached gradually. The aim is not speed, but stability.
